Hello All, I greet you all in the loving name of our dear LORD, herein I would like to talk to you about the reasons as to why this Blog has been created and the purpose for its existence.
I am Douglas Bayo, the founder of Dharlin Foundation inspired by my wife Dorothy Nakidde and my loving daughter Dharlin. I have always wanted to do/practice humanitarian activities thereby send a helping hand to the most vulnerable children all around my home district Mityana with the aim of expanding the services to most parts of Uganda just like how other NGOs do.
Vision: To be the leading Foundation here in Mityana and to the rest of Uganda in providing sustainable life changing skills and practices to the young children/youths.
Aim: To inspire the young children/youths in discovering their inner self abilities through acquiring sustainable life changing skills and practices.
We are currently looking for support from you all to enable this happen as most of the children/youths have dropped out of school due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has caused drastic and extreme poverty herein Uganda. This has caused many parents to send off their children from home to the dark streets of Uganda to look for survival leading many to turn to prostitution, child labor, thugs, use of drugs and all sorts of things. In most cases parents are using their kids especially the girl child as baits to escape poverty through early/forced marriage. With that being observed going on, Me and my Wife decided to look for a better way of protecting the children/youth by providing trainings and imparting them with skills that they can use to change their lives and create a positive impact to the communities they live in. We therefore call on you all to support this initiative to safe guard the young generation.
